Happy New Year!

Thanks for an insightful newsletter. What is working for me is writing new poetry as I ponder the great questions of life. I am at that age. :)

Here is the end of my New Year's poem:

I embrace hope as I contemplate,

Passing the strait gate,

To the most blessed place,

I accept that my faith,

Will raise me to the highest state.

Thank you I enjoy reading your work. In my latest newsletter I write about my life experience and the way writing poetry has helped me to cope with my illness. ( In my mind it's all about me! :) Here is part of my new poem:

I embrace the challenges that come my way,

I find courage to overcome them each day,

I perceive the strength that I will be okay,

I seek out God's will to trust and obey.

Allow me to live a meaningful life,

Guide me through my trials and strife,

Give me faith so that my doubts decrease,

Fill my life with love and peace.

Last year I participated in the Woman Unleashed Free Retreat over the Christmas Holidays and loved it so much that I immediately booked off the same time for this year so I could do it again. So that's whats been working for me - creating art, making magic, playing with portals and different styles of movement. It's been amazing.

This all sounds delicious! I didn't know you made music! What kind? And I'm interested in the different styles of movement too. Care to share more?

I read your comment and I thought gosh that's so weird did I say I was making music - hahah - MAGIC - making MAGIC - music is one of the things I don't do usually although I have played various instruments in my life.

There were tons of fun movement classes and I just love any kind of embodied work but this woman Denise Medved - she ran a movement based class that had me laughing so hard almost the entire time.... check her out online I think you will also enjoy the heck out of here stuff.

Travelling - eating food that I’m not quite sure what it even is, trying to communicate when I don’t know the language, navigating trains, new cities and currency and hoping for the best and gathering up stories that I know mum would love to hear and just feeling my feelings in the moment - sometimes it’s a smile, a tear, some gratitude or a sigh. Thanks for the beautiful share Medha xx

As one of your subscribers, that means a lot Rebecca. 'Delight' is one of the things I am for - even when I'm writing about things that are technically a little 'heavy'. Thank you. It's so nice to have you here!

Hi! Revisiting this blog. Your design is beautiful btw. What’s working for me now is: not “doing” much at all. Crying when the sad feelings come. Reading/listening to Tosha Silver and Autobiography of a Yogi. Loving my kids. Having compassion for myself. Beauty. Investing in beauty. The support and laughs I get from you Medha. Taking life moment by moment. Slowly investigating potential new avenues and interests. Staying warm. Banana chocolate chip pancakes.

Thanks for sharing this. What's working for me: reminding myself that thoughts are just thoughts. I can believe them or not, obsess over them or ignore them. Something else- using my imagination without reason or logic. Just letting my heart imagine in limitless, fun ways. And last but not least, reading posts on Substack. Cheers to uplifting and genuine newsletters like yours.
