OMFG today I love this even more than usual! This image of your heart and brain working together lights me up so much. If only we could all access this wisdom. (i know we can - but I guess I'm sad that so many don't want to) Love that you went with it and are not only drawing but sharing it on such a grand scale!
I love extra love! 😁 And thank you! I think it's something that's changing. More and more people are interested in connecting with their inner wisdom. Alhough I am looking forward to the day when we do that with automatic sef-love instead of judgement, impatience and criticism. It'll be so much FASTER then!
SUCH a great post, Medha! I've just been having a look at the two previews of Lill's course on her website - wow!
My favourite is the picture of your very smiley brain checking out the evidence that intuition is the name of the game. Mind you, that's an epic sandwich, too....! And the brick walls are gorgeously hilarious. ☺️
Oh yay! I love when there are multiple favourites. And I love Ingrid's course. I think she's in Copenhagen, so the times for the calls don't work out for me, but I send her my drawings and she still gives me feedback on the calls. I just catch the recordings.
Oh is that the youtube people? I think I've watched some of their videos and enjoyed them. How are you finding their community?
And ooohhh! It never occurred to me to use drawing in sessions with clients! Can you talk a bit more about yiur experience with that?
I don't have any Apple products so I use a Samsung Galaxy tablet. It was the latest when I got it but there is a newer version out now. I think maybe I have a 7? I use the Concepts app (which has about a trillion more features on the iOS version than the android version... *sigh*)
Well it is actually a man named Doug Neill and yes he has achannel on yt...
I like it even though I am not very active even though I am meeting with my buddy partners once a week...
About my experience a year ago I wanted to try out giving my client a sketchnote of the session.
I did it in 2 parts:
While listening and taking notes I could not sketchnote as I was completely following her. It was messy (as always when I take notes).
Then I took what I written and use some visual to make things stand out and create more links for my client.
To be honest it took her a year to come back and want more sessions but she said it is thanks to the sketchnote that she was able to own her patterns and decide to dive in.
We are doing a deep work right now.
I have to say I would like to practice more this aspect and I definitely keep Lil's course in my mind.
This is really wonderful in its simplicity and effectiveness. What a great path you put yourself on. Connecting your heart with the work is about as powerful as it gets. Congratulations!
I love this post, Medha! And I'm so glad you ended up drawing and sharing it with people all over the world! I'm also going to check out the drawing course, as someone who definitely cannot draw (no, serious! 😶😉) but does enjoy doing it.
Do you happen to know Ingrid Fettell Lee's work? She is my go-to person for all sorts of great facts about the joyful, playful aspects we so often forget or willfully not include in our lives. (I can forward you her newsletter if you want - she's not on Substack.)
Could this be my favorite post yet? Ok, no, because there are too freakin many others that I adore & love and could be BFF's with 4 Life. But this one is SO GREAT!!!! Your ball & chain! Your gray hair logo LOLOL! Your deep thoughts leading to the rewarding result of a yummy sandwich! Mr. Brain looking fearfully at the Evidence (this I think was my fave)! You diving in! Your brain lifting weights! Overdoing the coffee! Performing magic with your heart! I love that adorable brain drawing. And also, just the beautiful insight into your ongoing process this post offers us. It illuminates and gently teaches/inspires me. LOVE YOU, YOU GORGEOUS ANGEL!!!

This is so great Medha!
Your sketch notes are beautiful and what you say resonates a lot.
Thank u for sharing your journey.
<3
Thanks Coralie! The concept of sketchnotes is something I only came across very recently. Do you have much experience with it?
Hiya Medha.
Well I am in the Verbal to Visual community to improve as I want to include more in my coaching.
I did it a few times and although far from perfect it had a huge impact on my client.
Btw, what tablet do you use?

Great post Medha, you've inspired me to add more drawings to my own posts. I'm sure they will make more sense that way? Thanks so much!
Happy to hear that! I love the drawing bit. It takes me aaaages, but it's super fun. I hope you enjoy it!

That's such a lovely thing to hear. I am a massive fan of both simplicity AND effectiveness! Thank you Scott!
Mindfulness and "thinking about thought" are some of my favorite topics. Love your illustrations.
